The Process
-
1. Booking
A $75 deposit is required to reserve your spot in our books. Please reach out under our Contact page by filling out one of our forms. We will be able to send you the invoice for that deposit as soon as we receive your information.
-
2. Acquisition
It is important to receive the fresh flowers that are being used for your custom piece 24-48 hours after the event. This insures the best quality of flowers will be preserved in your art piece. Once your deposit is received, we will send over instructions for local drop off or shipping your flowers to us.
-
3. Preservation
Once we have received your bouquet, we will then start preserving it in its true form or pressed flat depending on the final products you are desiring. The drying process takes between 3-4 weeks.
-
4. Arranging
When everything is fully dried, the piece(s) will be artfully laid out. A proof of your main piece (larger frame or resin block) will be sent to you for approval. At this stage, 50% of your total is due before we start assembling the final pieces and the remaining balance will be due once the items are complete.
-
5. Pick up/Shipping
Once that final invoice has been paid, we will schedule a good time for you to pick up or for us to ship to you if desired (shipping costs additional). If you miss your window for pick up it is your responsibility to reach out for a new pick up time. If you show up unannounced, you will be turned away.
FAQs
-
We recommend at least 3 months out to secure your preservation spot, if not sooner. Solidifying your order with us takes one less thing off your plate and allows for a stress-free drop off and preservation.
-
We can do an in person hand off, you may ship it to me, or if desired, I can come pick it up within the Kansas City Metro with an additional fee. It is very important that the flowers get to GGKC within 48 hours after your event so that the preservation process can happen with the freshest and highest quality of flowers for your arrangement.
-
Drying & arranging the flowers takes between 4-6 weeks. It is important they dry fully before arranging them to prevent mold from growing on the bouquet inside your frame. We want to make sure the best quality is given to you to enjoy forever!
-
The more flowers the merrier! That way we can choose the best quality of flowers after preservation to design your custom piece with.

A standard bridal bouquet can server many purposes. It fills a 16” x20” frame/shadowbox well or can be split up to have multiple gallery frames created. Our larger resin molds will hold about half of the flowers from a bouquet and a variety of flowers will be chosen for a comprehensive look.
Some people take the bridal party's bouquets as well to make custom thank you gifts for their party/florists/wedding planners/mothers, etc. The more flowers the merrier@

The items I find that do not preserve well are mums, succulents, topicals, and berries. Due to their high water content, they turn brown during the preservation process. To combat that, we can always find faux items to represent them in your final piece or omit them all together.
Terms & Conditions
Please allow 6-10+ weeks for your project to be completed. We will do our best to complete it in a timely manner while not sacrificing the quality of the product.
All contact on your project will be orchestrated over email for clarity of conversation. If no contact has been made within 2 months of the last email, your project will be canceled and your flowers will be composted.
There is a $75 non-refundable deposit to hold your reservation date. 50% of your deposit is due when a proof of your main piece (large frame/resin block/what you designate) is sent over for approval after the flowers are fully dried. The remaining balance is due once your pieces are completed and must be paid before they are picked up or shipped to you. There is a $200 minimums on orders.
No refunds on final pieces. Once flowers are received, they are the property of The Garden Gallery KC. We will not be giving back unused flowers after final piece(s) has been designed. We make sure to use the best of your flowers in your final piece(s) and compost any leftovers that are not quality.
Florals, when dried, have a tendency to change in color and/or appearance. The Garden Gallery KC will do its best to preserve your flowers with the best quality in mind, but we are not responsible for those natural changes. Reds can darken to a purple/deep plum color. Whites will turn shades of ivory, cream, or buttery yellow.
The Garden Gallery KC is not responsible for damaged or stolen goods once picked up or shipped. We will provide a tracking number for any shipment and it will be the responsibility of the client to see that it arrives to the address we have on file for the project. If your address changes, it is the client’s responsibility to get that to The Garden Gallery KC before the final piece is scheduled to ship.
When your project is complete, we will coordinate a pick up window on a specific date that works for both parties. If that window is missed, a new date will need to be scheduled for pick up. Please contact us at thegardengallerykc@gmail.com to coordinate a new time. If you show up unannounced, you will be turned away.
Like nature, no handmade art is perfect. They are one of a kind, custom pieces that are designed at the discretion of The Garden Gallery KC. We will go over design options before final piece is created (ie- traditional style, corner design, deconstructed, etc) to make your piece to your liking. Design decisions need to be vocalized during or before the proof is sent over so our designers have an idea of what you are wanting.
